Our little buttercup

Tomorrow Georgia will be five months old! She plans to celebrate the day by having a playdate with her friends Mailee and Audriana, a visit from Tracy and Joe, and a couple of good naps. Here are some fun facts about Georgia at this stage:

  • Likes: Baby food (especially green beans, carrots and applesauce), naps, sucking the first two fingers of her left hand while holding something soft with her right hand, being held, petting the cats, playing in the excersaucer
  • Dislikes: riding in the jogger or shopping during naptime (or doing pretty much anything other than napping during naptime), loud restaurants and loud toddlers, the hour of 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

We are having a ball watching Georgia grow and getting to know her. These days she is reaching for and grabbing everything in sight -- the remote control, Dad's beer bottle (as you can see below), cat tails. We get occasional giggles, but she hasn't been interested in rolling around much since initially trying that back in March. She's leaning forward in her stroller and on our laps, so we figure she'll be sitting up on her own before we know it. Georgia tends to get overstimulated easily and exhausted by playdates, but it seems to be just part of her personality. Overly sensitive? Not sure where she got that from ...

Check out her new hat for spring!
